The first hours

3

hours a month, pledged

Everything this campaign has actually done.

Nothing raised yet. The first session has not happened. The page exists now rather than later, so there is a record of what was claimed at the start. Nothing on it is rounded up.

The ledger

Every event, every euro.

A running record of what has actually happened, in order. Money appears here only once it has cleared to a charity, which is why the amount column is still empty.

How a euro gets there

Five things, in order.

Nothing further down can happen before the thing above it. It is a short list, and most of it has not happened.

  1. Somebody gives hours every month1 so far, giving 3 hours a month between them, and the same again the month after.
  2. Somebody books half an hour of itNo completed booking yet.
  3. The session happensHalf an hour of the same work they are paid for.
  4. They decide what it was worthPayments are not open, so this step cannot happen yet.
  5. It reaches the charityThen, and only then, an amount appears in the ledger above.

The figures, for completeness.

A standing commitment

Every December, the full tally.

The original Worthly, the free studio sessions this grew out of, published its donation total at the end of every year. That habit carries over unchanged.

Each December this page gets a year-end entry: every euro that reached a charity, charity by charity, and what stayed unconfirmed. Nothing is collected here and nothing is passed on, so there is no fee of ours to itemise. The first one will be small. It will still be published.

Pass it on

This is the link to post.

It shows the real state of things, including the parts still at zero. That tends to travel further than a number would.

The first hours: 3 hours committed, target €10,000.

Finite hours with people who are actually good. Every euro goes to charity.
